Cookie Policy

1. COOKIE POLICY

These cookie policies apply to cookies on websites operated by PFM STÚDIÓ Művészeti Bt. (Head office: 1143 Budapest, Mogyoródi út 4., fszt/9., tax number: 28726683-1-42).

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a small file containing only letters and numbers, which can be stored on a user's computer, mobile phone or other device providing Internet access. A cookie is a package of information that the given web server sends to the browser, and then the browser sends it back to the server for each request directed to the server. Cookies are "passive", i.e. they do not contain executable files, viruses or spyware, and they do not access the data on the user's hard drive.

3. WHAT ARE COOKIES USED FOR?

These files enable us to recognize the device used by the user to surf the Internet and thus display relevant content tailored to the user's needs. Cookies provide easier browsing for the user and help PFM STÚDIÓ Művészeti Bt. to provide the user with the most convenient services. These include online data security requirements or relevant advertisements. At the same time, they can also be used to prepare certain - anonymous - statistics, which provide PFM STÚDIÓ Művészeti Bt. with valuable information about users' page usage habits. Using the statistical results obtained, we can adapt the structure and content of the page to suit needs, all while preserving the anonymity of the users.

4. WHAT COOKIES DO WE USE?

PFM STÚDIÓ Művészeti Bt. uses two types of cookies: temporary and permanent. The former are temporary files that remain on the user's device until the end of the logged-in period or until the application (browser) is closed. Persistent cookies remain on the user's device for the period specified in their parameters (or until they are manually deleted). We use the "Real Cookie Banner" consent tool to manage cookies and similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) used on the website and related consents. Details on how the "Real Cookie Banner" works can be found at https://devowl.io/rcb/data-processing/. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to manage the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents. The provision of personal data is not required by a contract and is not necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. If you do not provide your personal data, we cannot process your consents.

5. WHAT DO WEBSITES USE COOKIES FOR?

During a visit, a website may place cookies on the user's Internet device for the following purposes:

– Website performance measurement
– Browsing analysis
– Geotargeting
– Measuring subscription habits
– Recommending suitable products
– Displaying relevant advertising services

6. DO COOKIES CONTAIN PERSONAL DATA?

Most cookies do not require any personal data to function effectively. Accordingly, in the vast majority of cases, the cookie does not identify the user. Personal data collected when using cookies can only be used to make certain functions easier for the user. This data is stored in a way that unauthorized persons cannot access it.

7. DELETING COOKIES

Browsers used to access websites allow cookies to be placed on the device by default. However, these settings can be changed so that the browser blocks the automatic handling of cookies or notifies the user in any case when a cookie has been sent to the device. Information on the management of cookies can be found in the browser settings. It is important to know that prohibiting/restricting the use of cookies may negatively affect the operation of certain functions of the site.

8. WHY ARE COOKIES IMPORTANT ON THE INTERNET?

Cookies are a central element of the efficient functioning of the Internet, as they help users to browse comfortably, based on their needs and interests. Restricting or blocking cookies may make it impossible to use certain websites. Restricting or blocking cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive online advertising; it simply means that the advertisements you see will not take into account your browsing habits and will not be tailored to your needs and interests. Some examples of the use of cookies (which do not require the identification of a user through a user interface):

• Displaying content, services and products tailored to the user's needs.
• Offers tailored to the user's interests.

• Remembering passwords.

• Remembering child protection filters for Internet content (family mode options, safe search functions).

• Limiting the frequency of advertisements;
that is, limiting the number of times an advertisement is displayed to a user on a given website.
• Displaying advertisements that are relevant to the user.

• Measuring and optimizing analytical features.
Measuring the traffic of a website, examining the content downloaded, and determining where the user came to the website from (e.g. via a search engine, directly, from another website, etc.). Websites perform these traffic analyses in order to make the site as good as possible for users.

9. FACTORS RELATED TO SECURITY AND DATA SECURITY

Cookies are NOT viruses! Cookies use a plain text format, do not consist of code snippets, so they cannot be executed automatically. Consequently, they cannot be copied or matched to other networks for re-execution. Since they cannot perform these functions, they cannot be considered programs (and therefore viruses).

YET COOKIES CAN ALSO BE USED FOR NEGATIVE PURPOSES.

Since they store information about the user's preferences and browsing history, they can even be used as spyware on a given website. Accordingly, many antivirus programs constantly delete cookies during various computer scanning processes (full system scan, real-time protection, etc.). Usually, browsers have data security settings that allow the level acceptance of cookies placed by specific sites, in addition to determining their validity period and automatic deletion.

OTHER SECURITY ASPECTS RELATED TO COOKIES.

Since the protection of personal identity is of utmost importance and is a subject right of every Internet user, it is necessary to know what concerns may arise when using cookies. Since information flows continuously between the website and the browser in both directions through cookies, if an attacker (hacker) interferes with the data transfer, the information stored in the cookie can be traced. If browsing is done via an unencrypted Internet access network (e.g. a WiFi network without proper encryption), the probability of an attack increases significantly. Additional attack surfaces – based on the use of cookies – can be provided by server-side cookie configuration deficiencies. If a website does not require the browser to communicate exclusively via an encrypted channel, attackers can exploit this security gap to extract information from cookies. Attackers can use the extracted data to gain – unauthorized – access to other websites. For this reason, it is important to carefully choose the most appropriate personal data protection method.

TIPS FOR SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE BROWSING BASED ON COOKIES.

Since the largest and most visited websites use cookies, their presence/use is almost inevitable. If cookies are completely disabled, the user will not be able to use many popular sites, such as Youtube, Gmail, Yahoo and many others. Here are some tips to help you browse safely and worry-free even with cookies enabled: Customize your browser settings for cookies so that their use is safe for you while still providing you with a comfortable Internet experience. If you only use your computer, you can set a longer expiration time for recording browsing history and storing personal data. If you share your computer with others, it is worth deleting the data remembered by the browser after each use (there is an automated solution that automatically deletes it when you close the program). This allows you to safely visit sites that place cookies on your computer. Regularly update your anti-spyware software database. In many cases, anti-spyware software monitors browsing in real time and warns you if you attempt to load an unsafe page (with a given setting, they can even automatically block their loading). Thanks to this service, the user cannot, or only intentionally, access a page where they are exposed to potential danger (cyberattacks). That is why it is important that your browser and antivirus program are always up to date.

A SIGNIFICANT PROPORTION OF ATTACKS TAKE PLACE THROUGH THE BROWSER'S SECURITY POINTS.

The older the version of a browser, the more such weak points it contains. Since almost all major domestic and international websites use cookies, their use is almost inevitable. If you know the basic mechanism of cookies, you can make the settings that will allow you to browse the Internet comfortably and safely.

The blocking or rejection of cookies is only used by certain websites that are difficult to access and use. It is important to know, however, that blocking cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive/see online advertisements on certain websites. A setting is available in widely used browsers that allows you to permanently reject a given cookie. In addition, it can be set to only accept cookies from a specific website. Disabling cookies may even prevent you from leaving comments on a specific website.

Nowadays, all widely used browsers offer the option to customize cookie management. These settings are usually found in the “Options” or “Settings” menu of the browser. For help with settings related to each browser type, click on the links below:
